We use our local knowledge to avoid places where traffic can be slow, which is much of our coast and our towns during the summer months and over the Bank Holidays, so, our tours were devised to expertly avoid these, so that you don't spend too much travelling instead of sightseeing.
Your professional driver will keep tabs on local traffic, so please ensure that your phone is fully charged, in case that they call you to recommend that you must leave early to get back to your ship if they spot traffic jams forming, or if they get alerted to any incidents on the roads via Google Maps, or by listening to local radio stations.
These are good tips, even if you're exploring by yourselves, perhaps with the aid of one of our Dorset Interactive Maps, or our Dorset Tour via Public Transport + Premium Interactive Map Access, but please note that although many of our local bus journeys are very scenic, some buses run infrequently, and many of them only operate until the early evening, if that.
For further info, please read the 'Weymouth and The Jurassic Coast, Dorset' section of our UK Coast & Country Guide page.
