CANCELLATIONS - TOURS, TRANSFERS & SHORE EXCURSIONS
We ask that you please cancel or reschedule all tours, transfers, excursions and activities at least 14 days prior to your booking date. This is because most of out services are either deluxe and/or bespoke, and to ensure that all our transfers, tours and shore excursions go as smoothly as possible (especially during peak times, when the best providers don't have much availability), we book and pay for transport, entrance tickets, catering and restaurant reservations (if applicable), as soon as you place an order, and we can't always cancel, reschedule, or claim refunds for these.
We really want you to enjoy yourselves, so, if you must cancel within 14 days of your booking, as a gesture of goodwill, and entirely at our discretion, we may allow you to reschedule, or to transfer your tickets (or part thereof, minus any costs that we can't recover from third-party providers) to other parties, including to friends or to fellow who would like to book the same transfer/tour/shore excursion as yourself, with a maximum extension period of three months from the original date.
This doesn't apply to our deluxe services such as booking transfers via helicopters, private jets, riverboats and yachts. Rescheduling may be possible, but refunds are not available.
Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, so, please contact us as soon as you become aware of the need to amend or cancel your booking.
An admin fee of £10 per ticket is payable for each request that we approve - a payment link will be sent to you, which must be paid before any new tickets are issued. If we don't agree to your request, the £10 admin fee is waived, and you will not be invoiced.
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance which includes cover for tours, transfers, activities and shore excursions prior to the start of your trip or holiday, to cover for eventualities such as a changes to the port of call during your cruise, which can happen due to strike action, travel disruptions, inclement weather, etc...
You may be then be able to claim back the cost of your tour, transfer or shore excursion, if changes were imposed by your cruise line, or due to other circumstances beyond of anyone's control.
In the unlikely event that we must cancel your tour, transfer or shore excursion at short notice, we will issue a full refund within 24 hours via Square.
To book with short notice, or if you have any questions, please contact us.
FREEBIES
Travel Tiger's Premium Interactive Map and our Bespoke Itinerary Preparation Service, are complimentary with all our tour, transfer and shore excursion bookings. If you cancel your booking, we reserve the right to substract the cost of these products and services from any refunds issued, especially if we have spent a lot of time preparing your perfect trip.
STRIKE ACTION BY PORT WORKERS
Strikes may happen in France, the UK, or anywhere else that we operate, and while we try to keep our ear to the ground, passengers will be informed about any changes first, so, if you hear anything, please let us know ASAP so that we can attempt to make alternative arrangements for you in your new port of call, for which additional fees may be incurred as we cancel services and book new ones,
CODE OF CONDUCT
In brief, when you book our tours, transfers and shore excursions, we really want you and everyone else to enioy yourselves, so, we don' t expect you to become so intoxicated that you would be unlikely to be allowed to board a vehicle, ship or aircraft.
Each individual driver/provider reserves the right to refuse to provide their services if you act in an unreasonable manner.
Fees may well apply if you or any of your party soils a vehicle or damages any property.
If we must arrange for a vehicle to arrive at the port with very little or no notice, be prepared to be asked to wait in your vehicle for up to an hour, and to pay for it, until such time as a security staff member becomes available to process your re-entry.
These are the ports' conditions, not ours, and we cannot be held liable for any inconvenience caused to yourself and your party due to unreasonable behaviour, including missed departures or being held by the police, the port police or by medics, and nor are we liable for any additional costs or fees related to transport, waiting times, or anything else.
MEDICAL INFO
Please let us know about any medical conditions which are relevant to travelling, as well as about any allergies, so that we can book services accordingly, also, so that we can efficiently assist you in case of an emergency. Providing us with your next-of-kin details is optional, but it would be useful for us to know whom to inform should you become injured or lost, or should you decide to wander off to explore or to party without letting us know. Please don't do this as it causes undue stress and worry for all our staff - simply update us if your plans change.
For fees starting from £50, being multilingual, we can search for medical assistants or specially-trained medics upon request, and also for appointments to see various private medics and therapists, should you feel that you need to see someone without calling for an ambulance or having to queue in A&E (ER), such as if you develop minor aches and illnesses, including toothache.
Please note that your insurance provider can likely assist you, as well as help with expenses. We strongly recommend that you purchase separate travel insurance which includes tour, transfer and excursion cover prior to the start of your trip or holiday.
If you need medical assistance, don't delay, you can deal with insurance forms later, especially as healthcare and medication are much cheaper than in the USA. When you're in the UK, ambulance services are free, whilst in Europe, they're affordable, with prices varying from free to around 150 euros, whilst a visit to the emergency room in the UK and Europe can be free, or it can be expensive, depending on where you are, whether the hospital is private or public (such as NHS hospitals in the UK), which investigations and treatments are required, and whether you need to stay overnight.
You can receive free primary medical care from the NHS as an overseas visitor, regardless of your nationality or immigration status. However, you are not eligible for free non-emergency medical care. If a GP/doctor refers you for secondary services, the receiving organization will assess your eligibility for free care.
Some services or treatments carried out in NHS hospitals in the UK are exempt from charges, so they're free to all. These include ambulance and A&E (ER) services – not including emergency treatment if admitted to hospital.
As a UK visitor, you can also register with a General Practitioner Surgery as a temporary resident for up to three months by filling out a temporary services form (GMS3), which is available from GP surgeries and their websites. Even if your application is refused, you can still receive immediate treatment for up to 14 days.
In the UK you can call 111 for free healthcare advice from the National Health Service, call 101 to speak to the police, or call 999 to reach all emergency services, including the ambulance, mountain rescue, coastguard, police and fire rescue services, and if you're Europe, the emergency number is 112.
Why not save these numbers, and also register for their respective text services by sending the word 'REGISTER' to each number that you may need? This can be useful as texts are more likely to get through in a remote areas with little or no signal, also if you're in a crowded place or event where mobile network availability can greatly be reduced.
Adding the What3Words app can help emergency services to easily locate you, and you can also use it to pin the location of your hotel and hire car, or even to find friends in a crowd, and many people now also use smart tags to track the location of their children, their group, pets, luggage, wallet, phone, etc...
